Clinic for Health and Medical Care (CHMC) isa German private clinic specialized inPsychiatry and Psychotherapywhich is located in the center of Dubai in DHCC (Dubai Healthcare City).

CHMC provides high quality psychiatric services for Dubai and the neighboring emirates. The clinic is directed by Dr. Gregor Kowal, a German Board certified Consultant in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy.

Clinic for Health and Medical Care is specialized in treatment of psychiatric problems in an outpatient setting. The diagnostic procedure includes the psychiatric and psychological evaluation, physical and neurological examination, ECG and laboratory tests. Referrals to partner clinics and/or hospitals are an option if additional diagnostics are required. After the initial evaluation and securing of the diagnosis a treatment plan will be elaborated. It includes psychopharmacology and/or counseling (psychotherapy) followed by a psychiatric and somatic monitoring. The therapy plan and the frequency of consultations will correspond with the severity of the illness. Our patients are involved in the treatment according to personal and illness related aspects.

We are treating mood disorders (depression, mania and bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders (panic attacks and generalized anxiety disorder), obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias (flying phobia, social and situational phobias), schizophrenia, alcohol addiction, sleeplessness, dementias, personality disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), eating disorders, chronic pain and all kind of life crisis.

The quality control takes place internally through the implementation and observance of the clinic policies and externally through the approval and monitoring of these processes by The Center for Healthcare Quality and Planning (CPQ) of DHCC.

CHMC cooperates with two leading hospitals in Dubai: The Mediclinic City Hospital and American Hospital. The laboratory services are provided by National Reference Laboratory operated by Laboratory Corporation of America.
